Standards and Audit Committee is responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct by members of the ITA, advising the ITA on the adoption or revision of the Code of Conduct and considering and determining any allegations that a member may have breached the Code.
The Committee is also responsible for advising the ITA on audit and governance issues.
Unlike other committees, this committee includes four independent members (ie non-councillors). Independent members are important, providing a clear signal that the Committee acts fairly and impartially. They also bring a wider perspective from their outside experiences.
Chair: Mr Scrimshaw (independent member)
Councillors: Blackburn, Green, McMillan, Stone and P Wood
Independent Members: Mr Atkinson, Mr Clark and Ms Green
