Full Committee plays the deciding role in the ITA's business.
The Committee considers various topics in relation to transport and makes decisions on the ITA’s overall policies and sets its budget each year. Its meetings are open to the public with the exception of instances when the Committee considers exempt information listed in Part 2 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
The Committee consists of sixteen elected representatives from the five local authorities in Tyne and Wear. These members are: Councillors Curran (Statutory Vice-Chairman), Errington, M Green, S Green, Hobson (Vice-Chairman), Hodson, Lambert, Lott (Vice-Chairman), Maughan, McCarty, McElroy (Vice-Chairman), Miller, Smith, Stone, D Wood (Chairman) and P Wood (Leader of the Opposition).
